💆‍♀️ Best Habits To Adopt For A FABULOUS Haircare Routine 💆‍♀️

Posted by Darlings Jewelry on

Hello, Darlings!

We hope you had a great week! This week we're coming back at you this week with another blog. With all the stressful things going on in the world right now, it is important to take those measures of self-care and de-compress. You may be isolated at home right now (like many others) so we thought it would be perfect to do a haircare blog! We've covered a few similar topics with skincare & self-care so this is the next best idea!  With self-isolation still necessary, this will keep you entertained, looking fab and hopefully stress-free! We hope you enjoy.

Are you tired of dull, unhealthy hair? Right now is the perfect time to up your hair care routine. Many of us are working from home which easily leads to boredom which can easily be filled up with a good haircare routine! If you don't know where to start, we can help you with that

The Road To Better Hair Starts Here!

1) Get Regular Haircuts

This is one of the most important steps! All of the experts agree: Avoiding the salon is counterproductive to growing out your hair. As soon as your ends are drying and splitting, you will not get the length! Regular haircuts ensure minimal split ends or breakage. Professionals recommend a trim every six to eight weeks.

2) Go Natural Often

Your hair needs a rest from everything it endures during the week. Professionals recommend using the weekend to let your hair recuperate. Let your hair air-dry, avoid heated styling products and keep it out of a ponytail or tight headband to avoid any unnecessary pulling on the hair shaft. In other words, sometimes you just have to let your hair chill a little. Quarantine is the perfect time to let your hair breathe!

3) Maintain A Healthy Diet

This habit might seem like it has nothing to do with your actual hair, but it's actually incredibly important!  Protein is the building block of hair because hair is keratinized protein. Hair is considered a non-essential tissue, so the body doesn’t send protein to hair follicles first—it focuses on essential organs, like the heart or liver—but if you’re eating enough, the body will be able to distribute protein everywhere it’s needed.  iron is also important, it’s an energy source for the hair.

4) Swap Products

Certain products are better for different seasons. In the winter, you should be using products that are hydrating and moisturizing (depending on how cold your winters are). Whereas in the summer, you might want a product that will not weigh your hair down and leave it greasy.

5) Deep Condition

This is one healthy hair habit both dermatologists and hairstylists agree on: Incorporate a deep conditioner into your weekly hair care routine for extra hydration.

7) Avoid Hot Tools

If you insist on blow-drying your hair every day, be smart: Don’t concentrate on the highest level on your hair for a long time. Keep it moving on a cooler setting and lower velocity. It takes a little bit longer, but a little more care and time will be beneficial. If you plan to curl or straighten your hair with a hot wand or iron, use a protective spray beforehand.

Following these simple rules will hopefully help you get on the right path to an amazing hair care routine! Good luck and we hope that we have helped you out! Please stay inside, stay safe and try to help flatten the curve!
