Hello, Darlings!

More often than not, the beauty products on our counters and in our stores are from large conglomerates with very little diversity within their board of directors and management that simply doesn’t represent what society looks like. At Darlings Jewelry, we believe in being the most authentic version of yourself and that motto carries over into our purchasing habits and making sure what we buy is a representation of the authentic world we live in. That’s why we love to support minority and person of colour (POC and BIPOC) businesses because we think it’s important all people should be empowered, and when opportunities, or market share, isn’t organically available to everyone, we need to make a conscious effort to help support minority owned brands.
That is why we wanted to share with you 5 of our favourite POC--and in this blogs case, BIPOC--owned brands that you NEED to incorporate in your beauty routine!
Pat McGrath Labs
Pat McGrath is not only one of the most influential makeup artists in the world, but she also heads the successful and renown Pat McGrath Labs. Pat McGrath Labs has some of the most sickening packaging and formulas that covent a spot in any luxury makeup collection. Although not cheap, her products are award winning masterpieces that are sure to serve an iconic look.

Beauty Bakerie
Beauty Bakerie is a packaging and branding dream, founded by the loveable Cashmere Nicole with the purpose of creating a sweet and lovable identity for makeup products. Sweetness is at the heart of all her makeup products with some of the cutest, baking and candy inspired packaging on the market.
We especially love her beauty sponges (shaped and packaged in an egg carton!) and her translucent powder (packaged in a flour bag!!). You can see and shop all her items at https://www.beautybakerie.com/
